Planning:I created 3 different sketches that represented different landscapes. I picked the third one because I thought it was the one where I could have a wider variety of color.

ACT Questions:
1.) Clearly explain how you are able to identify the cause-effect relationships between your inspiration and its effect upon your work.
I think the biggest resemblance between my art work and the one of my inspiration has to do with the use of color. We both use unusual color to create a vibrant piece that attracts the viewer.
2.) What is the overall approach (point of view) the author (from your research) has regarding the topic of your inspiration?
I think Derain had the same goal as I did, to show the beauty of nature, and what we are missing out now.
3.) What kind of generalizations and conclusions have you discovered about people, ideas, cultures, etc. while you researched your inspirations?
The fact that people no longer take the time to go out for a walk down a beautiful hill, and admire the sky, the flowers, grass, nature.
4.) What was the central idea or theme around your inspirational research?
The central idea was nature and that was the central theme of my inspiration piece as well. To portray a place where we can go with family and just be happy in general.
5.) What kind of inferences (conclusions reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning) did you make while reading your
research?
I can infer that Andre Derain appreciated ever place that made him feel like home.
